I received horrible news...

Well I am back from Florida! Both of my grandmothers are looking good and strong. I am glad I got to see them. Anywho, upon my return home I had a folder full of information from my school. Inside was the list of classroom and who would be occupying it. As I read through the list I discovered that I will be sharing my classroom with TWO other teachers. I felt my stomach fall out of my butt. How am I supposed to make my classroom feel like my own if I have to share it with TWO OTHER PEOPLE?! I have bought so much stuff to make my classroom feel like home. I have made posters, charts, and borders just to make sure that my classroom wouldn't feel so sterile like mine felt like last year. I have routines and rituals in place that I won't be able to use if I don't have my own classroom!!

Has anyone else had to deal with this situation before? How did you deal with it? How did you make your classroom your own? :(

Please help!! :(

  1. That sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. Is there like, a lead teacher or are all considered "co-teachers"? Are they SPED teachers? I can't imagine having to do that. That being said, I do have paraprofessionals that I share my class with, and that can also be really challenging. I have had to deal with issues that you wouldn't believe. I hope it all works out for you.

    1. They are two other English teachers! We all have 7 class periods so I have no idea how this is going to work!! I am hoping this is a huge mistake.

  2. Oh my goddness, I'm so sorry to hear about that! I don't have any advice, per say, as I've never experienced this before, but I hope that all works out well for you! Just take it in the best way possible and stay calm as possible!

PS. What font did you use for your signature? I absolutely love it!

    1. Thanks Sara. I am trying not to flip out, it could totally be a mistake. Just frustrating that it's not going to be MY classroom. It is actually one of the fonts on ipiccy.com that I used to create it!

    2. I definitely understand you on that. It's not fun when you've gotta share a room with others, especially when you've prepare as best as you could & have it turned upside down. BUT like you said, it could be a mistake! I'm going to check out ipiccy now! :)

  3. I'm sorry Eden! I cannot imagine how they can expect you to share if you all have that many classes. I hope it is a mix-up!
